About the Show

I’m Trying To Think is a podcast where two experts – Chuck Werner and Dave Stern – apply philosophical and scientific thinking to the everyday problems of our world – a practice called thoughtology. Also, it’s a bit silly. The podcast is sponsored by the Foundation Institute, an organization which promotes the principles of thoughtology.

Chuck Werner is the show’s executive producer, head writer and assistant sound engineer. He is an expert in philosophy, psychology, physics, webtainment, ontological comedy and astrophenomenology. Chuck’s hobbies include video games, amateur punditry and designing fart applications for the iPhone.

Dave Stern is the show’s director, sound engineer and associate producer. He is a an expert in philosophy, information science, webtainment, socio-deontological comedy and gum theory. Dave’s hobbies include sports fandom, political blacklisting and creating plush animals at the mall.

I’m Trying to Think was first envisioned by Dave and Chuck in the spring of 2009. When approached by the Foundation Institute, the duo gained a third leg in their tripod of wisdom. I’m Trying to Think began recording in May of 2009 and the show has already completed their goal of attracting a listener!
